Hi This Is Bry is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, shared and stored in accordance with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Hi This Is Bry is a UK based creative business offering branding, business strategy, marketing, website design and related creative services to individuals and small businesses.

2. What personal data I collect
Depending on how you interact with Hi This Is Bry, I may collect information such as your name, email address, business name and business contact details.
I may also collect information you provide through enquiry forms, onboarding forms, emails, messages, consultations, purchases or downloads.
Where relevant, I may process business addresses and other information required for invoicing, accounting or delivering a service.
This website may collect information about how visitors use the site, including pages visited, device or browser information and website interaction data. Non essential analytics and advertising tracking is configured to operate only where the relevant consent has been given through the website cookie banner.
If you purchase through a third party platform such as Gumroad, payment information is processed by that provider. Hi This Is Bry does not directly store your full payment card details.
3. Additional requirements and accessibility preferences
Some client and enquiry forms include an optional Additional Requirements field which asks whether there are any practical adjustments or preferences that would make working together easier.
This is intended to collect practical working preferences only. You are not asked to provide a diagnosis, disability, medical condition or other health information.
If health related or other sensitive information is provided voluntarily, I will only use information that is necessary to understand and provide the requested adjustment. I will avoid copying or retaining unnecessary medical details where reasonably practicable.
I do not intentionally collect special category personal data for advertising, analytics or marketing purposes.
4. How personal data is collected
Personal data may be collected when you contact me, complete a form, purchase a product or service, subscribe to emails, download a resource or interact with this website.
I use a small number of third party services to operate the business and website. Personal data may be processed by these providers where necessary.
Wix provides website hosting, website forms, site functionality, cookie consent tools and related services.
Google provides Gmail, Google Meet, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and related services.
Meta Platforms provides advertising measurement and website conversion tracking through Meta Pixel and Conversions API.
MailerLite manages email subscriptions where someone has actively chosen to join the mailing list.
FreeAgent is used for invoicing and accounting.
Gumroad is used for some digital product sales and downloads.
OneDrive may be used for secure business file storage and backups.
Completing an enquiry form, purchasing a product or working with Hi This Is Bry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.
5. Website analytics and advertising technology
This website uses non essential analytics and advertising technologies only where the relevant consent has been given through the website cookie banner.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site and to improve website performance.
Google Analytics is connected through the website's Google Tag integration. Analytics tracking is subject to the visitor's cookie choices.
Google Analytics data is retained in accordance with the retention settings configured within Google Analytics and Google's applicable data retention policies.
At the time this policy was updated, detailed event data is configured with a two month retention period and user data with a fourteen month retention period. These settings may be reviewed and changed where appropriate.
These retention settings apply to user level and event level data and do not necessarily remove standard aggregated reporting after the selected retention period.
Meta Pixel and Conversions API
This website uses Meta Business Tools, including Meta Pixel and Conversions API, to understand website activity and measure the effectiveness of advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
Meta Pixel records certain website events through a visitor's browser.
Conversions API allows Wix to send certain website event information to Meta from its servers. The two technologies can work together to improve the accuracy of advertising measurement.
Depending on the actions taken on the website and the way tracking is configured, this may include events such as page views or form submissions.
Non essential Meta tracking is configured to operate only after the visitor has given the relevant consent through the website cookie banner.
Meta's Automatic Website Matching feature is not currently enabled.
6. Why I use personal data
Personal data may be used to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, provide services, deliver purchases or downloads, manage client relationships, process invoices, maintain business records and provide customer support.
Where someone has actively subscribed, personal data may also be used to send newsletters, resources or marketing emails.
Website analytics may be used to understand how the website is performing and how visitors use it.
Where consent has been given, website activity may also be used to measure advertising performance on platforms such as Meta.
Information provided through the optional Additional Requirements field may be used to make reasonable practical adjustments to how services are delivered or how I communicate with you.
7. Lawful bases for processing
Depending on the circumstances, personal data is processed under one or more lawful bases.
Contract and steps before entering a contract may apply when you request a quote, make an enquiry, purchase something or become a client.
Consent is used for activities including optional email marketing and non essential analytics or advertising tracking where consent is required.
Legitimate interests may apply to reasonable business administration, responding to requests, improving services, maintaining security and managing existing business relationships. Where legitimate interests are used, they are considered against the rights and interests of the individual.
Legal obligation may apply where information needs to be retained or processed for accounting, tax or other legal requirements.
Special category information is not requested as part of my normal services. If such information is voluntarily provided, it will only be handled where necessary and appropriate for the specific purpose for which it was provided.
8. Cookies and consent
This website uses essential cookies that are required for the website to function.
It may also use analytics and marketing cookies for purposes including understanding website use and measuring advertising.
A cookie consent banner appears when a visitor first accesses the site. Visitors can accept non essential cookies, decline them or adjust their preferences.
The website is configured to block relevant non essential third party technologies until the visitor has made the appropriate cookie choice.

9. Email marketing
If you actively subscribe to the Hi This Is Bry mailing list, you may receive occasional updates, resources, marketing information or business news.
Joining the mailing list is optional.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in marketing emails.
Completing an enquiry form, purchasing something or downloading a product does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails unless you separately choose to join the mailing list.
Inactive subscribers may be removed periodically.
10. Contact about enquiries, purchases and services
If you submit an enquiry, complete a form, purchase something or become a client, I may contact you where reasonably necessary to respond to your request, provide the service, deliver the product, manage the project or resolve an issue.
These communications are separate from optional marketing emails.
11. Data sharing
Personal data is not sold or rented.
Information may be shared with service providers where this is necessary to operate the business, deliver services, process transactions, maintain records, communicate with clients or run the website.
The main providers currently used are described in section 4 of this policy.
12. International data transfers
Some of the technology providers used by Hi This Is Bry operate internationally and may process personal data outside the UK.
I use established providers that publish information about the safeguards and legal mechanisms they use for international transfers.
Further information about international processing and transfer arrangements is available through the privacy information provided by the relevant service provider.
13. Data retention
Personal data is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or where a longer period is required by law.
Client invoices, accounting records and relevant financial records may generally be retained for up to six years where required for tax and accounting purposes.
Client project information may be retained where reasonably necessary for project continuity, record keeping or responding to future queries.
Practical accessibility or communication preferences may be retained while relevant to an active client relationship. Unnecessary health or sensitive information that has been provided voluntarily will not be deliberately retained where it can reasonably be removed while preserving the practical adjustment requested.
Email marketing information is retained while you remain subscribed, subject to periodic removal of inactive subscribers.
Google Analytics data is retained according to the settings configured within Google Analytics and Google's applicable retention policies.
Other website analytics and advertising data may be retained by the relevant platform according to that provider's policies and the settings available to Hi This Is Bry.
You can request deletion of personal data where the law gives you that right. Some information may still need to be retained where there is a legal obligation to do so.
14. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you the right to request access to your personal data, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion, request restriction of processing, object to certain processing or request data portability.
Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.

15. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data.
Business accounts and systems are password protected, and two factor authentication is used where available.
Business files may be backed up using cloud storage services such as OneDrive.
No online service can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable steps are taken to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
16. Children's data
Hi This Is Bry services are intended for adults and businesses and are not directed at children.
I do not knowingly collect personal data from children through this website.
If you believe that a child has provided personal data through the website, please contact me so that the situation can be reviewed and appropriate action taken.
17. Gumroad downloads and digital products
If you purchase or download a product through Gumroad, information associated with the transaction may be visible to Hi This Is Bry for purposes such as providing access, maintaining records and supporting the transaction.
Downloading a resource through Gumroad does not automatically subscribe you to the Hi This Is Bry mailing list.
18. Client websites and client responsibility
Where I design or build a website for a client, the client remains responsible for their own website accounts, business accounts, billing information and ongoing legal and data protection obligations.
I do not log into, manage or retain access to client accounts.
Clients are responsible for creating and maintaining their own accounts, passwords, permissions and payment details.
Where access to a platform is required to complete work, the client is responsible for using the platform's own sharing, collaboration or transfer features where available rather than providing personal login credentials.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that their business, website, privacy information, cookie consent arrangements, marketing activity and handling of personal data comply with the laws and regulations that apply to them.
Any templates, guidance or suggested wording I provide as part of a website project are provided for general practical support and do not constitute legal advice. Clients are responsible for reviewing their own legal requirements and obtaining independent legal advice where appropriate.
For Wix websites, clients manage their own Wix account, subscription, billing and payment details directly with Wix.
19. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the tools, services, website functionality or legal requirements affecting Hi This Is Bry change.
