BEHIND THE PIXELS

Hi, I'm Bry!

(Br-eye) I help small businesses and solopreneurs get the best out of their online presence.

My background is in web design, illustration, graphic design and marketing, shaped by years working at some of Essex's top agencies.

My work has been recognised through national award wins, nominations and features across print, radio, and several industry publications.

This is my story...

28 YEARS LIVING ON PLANET EARTH

I promise that I'm older than I look and I'm an actual adult, I even stepped foot in a bank once!

10+ YEARS WRANGLING FONTS

I secrelty miss CorelDraw... If you need someone who's been through the design trenches, hi.

5,000+ COFFEES CONSUMED

Let's be real, probably more than that thanks to ADHD. Coffee is a contributor to my best work.

My career

I studied Graphic Arts at Colchester Institute and went on to complete a design degree at Norwich University of the Arts. From there I spent years working at some of Essex's top creative agencies, before moving in-house as a Brand Manager, overseeing more than five brands simultaneously and managing everything from digital campaigns to print.

Eventually I left to build something of my own.

I specialise in branding, Wix websites, and social media strategy, but the full picture is broader. I'm a commercial illustrator with experience across well-known brands (some I can mention, some I can't), a motion graphics designer, and a video editor for select clients. I've also worked in business support roles with my local council.

My background

Early in my career, I was diagnosed with autism. Getting there hadn't been straightforward. I'd sought therapy trying to understand why I felt so different, why certain things that seemed easy for everyone else felt genuinely hard for me.

The diagnosis made sense of a lot. But the industry I worked in didn't always make space for it, some people were understanding, others made me feel like I didn't belong.

Hi This Is Bry is, in part, a response to that. I believe disability has a place in business, and I want to be the kind of designer and strategist I wish I'd had access to when I was starting out.

My brand inspo

Early in my career, I was told I needed to look more like a serious designer, and apparently that didn't involve the colour pink, playfulness, or anything that could be described as feminine or fun.

For a while, I tried to fit that mould. It never felt right.

These days my brand is unapologetically colourful, sparkly, and feminine — and I'd argue it's more strategic for it. FYI, it's inspired by Elle Woods: the kind of person who gets underestimated right up until the moment she doesn't.

Giving back

I mentor anyone under 25 who wants to break into the creative industry, completely free. I also volunteer at my local college, offering students the kind of honest guidance I wish someone had given me.

I also create free resources for business owners and neurodivergent creatives, and I speak openly about autism, ADHD, and what it's actually like to navigate mental health as a business owner.

Recognition

In 2026 I was shortlisted for the East of England StartUp Awards and Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the SME Awards.

My work has also been recognised by the Small Business Awards (Best Creative Arts Business, UK Top 100 and Best Business Branding, UK Top 10) and the Solopreneur Awards (Most Magnetic Personal Brand and Most Innovative Content Creator, both shortlisted 2025).

I've been featured in Essex Life Magazine, the Harwich & Manningtree Standard, Greatest Hits Radio, Rayo, Business Wire, and the 7th edition of Graphic Design School.
