Building a calming visual identity for Moss & Myrhh
Project: Branding Identity Design
Focus: Logo design, packaging design and botanical illustrations for a nature-led wellness brand
Moss & Myrrh was developed as a conceptual wellness brand exploring how design can communicate calm, grounding and connection. Centred on natural haircare products infused with oils and botanicals, the concept focused on restoring balance and care through self-care rituals.

The aim was to create a visual identity that felt earthy, soft and intentional, while standing out in the wellness space. Every element, from the logo and typography to the packaging and botanical illustrations, was designed to convey an elevated yet soothing brand experience.

My Role
I developed a full visual identity concept for Moss & Myrrh as part of a design exploration into how branding can communicate calm and connection. The work covered everything from logo design, typography and a tailored colour palette to packaging concepts and supporting illustrations.

Detailed botanical illustrations were created to bring a natural, hand-crafted quality to the visuals. The main packaging concept for the hair oil product was designed to balance beauty with function, exploring how the brand could appear in a retail context.
​
To extend the identity across additional touchpoints, I created concepts for business cards, thank you cards, branded order inserts, gift box packaging and custom wrapping paper. These were developed to show how the visual language could adapt for future product lines and customer experiences.

The focus was on building a cohesive, emotionally engaging identity that feels grounded in nature and consistent across all applications, while remaining adaptable for different uses.

The outcome
The resulting concept demonstrates how a clear visual direction can translate brand values into a calm, nature-inspired aesthetic. Each element, from packaging to printed materials, was designed to feel intentional, consistent and emotionally engaging.

Rather than simply aiming for a polished look, this exercise explored how thoughtful design can shape the way a brand is experienced. For a wellness-led idea like Moss & Myrrh, the sense of grounding and care is at the heart of the identity.
This project reflects my approach to creating visual identities that feel authentic and connected, while allowing room for future growth and evolution.
