Leading Design Across Several Brands in the Recruitment Sector

Partners: Recruitment Group Based in Suffolk

Project: Brand and Marketing Management

Focus: Brand Consistency, Marketing Design, Social Content,

After my agency role, I stepped into a lead design position at a recruitment group based in Suffolk. The company operated across five distinct brands, including services connected to social care, and needed clear, cohesive visuals that could support both external marketing and internal communications.

The role involved managing visual consistency across multiple business areas, each with its own tone, audience and goals, while also ensuring fast, reliable turnaround of day-to-day marketing needs.

My Role

As the lead designer, I was responsible for setting the creative direction and delivering all visual content across five distinct brands within the recruitment group. This included designing social media content, reels, brochures, internal presentations, and promotional materials. I also designed branded documents such as case studies, and supported the team with website updates and visual management across pages.

The role demanded both strategic thinking and practical design execution, often juggling multiple brand styles, tones and audiences in a single day. I worked closely with internal teams to maintain consistency while delivering timely, on-brand assets that supported campaigns and day-to-day marketing needs.

The outcome

Through this role, I helped maintain and elevate the group’s visual identity across all five brands. My work supported campaigns, improved the clarity of internal communication and strengthened how the brands showed up across platforms.

The social care-related brands, in particular, benefitted from sensitive, clear storytelling through visuals. This helped the company reflect its values while also meeting business goals.

Design for businesses with multiple brands can easily become fragmented. This role taught me how to manage multiple brand styles at once while keeping everything aligned and accessible.

It also deepened my ability to create design systems that are flexible, strategic and ready to scale, especially in sectors where clarity and trust matter most.
