I've been a fan of Essex Life Magazine for a long time. It's proper Essex. It celebrates the county, the people, the businesses, the community. So finding out Hi This Is Bry was going to be featured in it was one of those moments where I had to put my phone down and have a little moment.

What the feature said
The piece described Hi This Is Bry as an Essex-based creative studio helping small businesses and startups boost their visibility through brand strategy, social media, and accessible website design. It mentioned my background in agency and in-house roles, and why I founded this as an inclusive space where empathy and creativity can co-exist.
It also talked about me being autistic and having ADHD, my passion for making business kinder and more accessible, mentoring young creatives, working with students at a local college, and getting involved with projects that support underrepresented groups.
Seeing all of that in print, in a magazine I actually love, in a feature about Essex businesses doing good things, felt really special.

Why press coverage matters for small businesses
Getting featured in a publication like Essex Life Magazine isn't just a nice thing to put on your website. It's a signal. It tells people that someone outside your own business looked at what you're doing and thought it was worth writing about.
For a solo business under two years old, that kind of third-party recognition carries real weight. It builds trust with potential clients who don't know you yet, adds credibility to your name in search results, and honestly just reminds you that the work is getting noticed beyond your own corner of the internet.
I also think it matters for the story. Essex Life covers Essex people and businesses. Being in it as a neurodivergent founder running an inclusive creative studio in this county means something to me personally. It feels like belonging somewhere.
What Hi This Is Bry is actually about
The feature captured it well so I'll build on it here. I founded Hi This Is Bry after years working in agencies and in-house creative roles. The work was good but the environments weren't always built for people like me. I wanted to create something different. A studio where the way I work, the way my clients work, the differences and the quirks and the things that make people interesting, are treated as strengths rather than problems to manage.
That means accessible pricing, honest communication, and actually caring about outcomes rather than just deliverables.
It means mentoring young designers who remind me of where I was when I was starting out. It means taking on projects that support people who don't always get a seat at the table.
It's a small business. But it's built around big values.
Why I love being a design studio based in Essex
I'm a part of Essex through and through. I've worked here, studied here, built my business here. The creative and business community in this county is genuinely brilliant and I think it deserves more credit than it gets sometimes.
Being featured in Essex Life Magazine feels like a little bit of that recognition landing closer to home. And that means a lot.

Don't go without saying hi!
Hi, I'm Bry (pronounced Br-eye), an Essex and Suffolk based Creative Strategist and neurodivergent founder.
I help small businesses and founders show up with branding, websites, and content strategy that helps them become more visible to the right people.
My work has been recognised by the Small Business Awards (Best Creative Arts Business, UK top 100 and Best Business Branding, UK top 10), and I've been featured in Essex Life Magazine, the Harwich and Manningtree Standard, Business Wire, Greatest Hits Radio, and the 7th edition of Graphic Design School.

When I'm not doing this, I'm probably reading about exotic fish or writing about nerdy marketing stuff. Sometimes both.
